A visualisation of 60 minutes of sound from each room of my flat on a single evening.
Sounds are averaged and turned into converging vector curves. The louder the sound, the steeper the curve. Sound waves are just the same air being moved around a space. They are also longitudinal - fundamentally 2-dimensional and flat.
To reflect this physical state, a mechanical arm temporarily inscribes the cruved shape in a box of buckwheat grain.
